HOODCOMING FESTIVAL WEEKEND ANNOUNCED FOR OCT 30TH –NOV 2ND, 2025

Tensas Parish to Honor Coach Ivan Webb and Community Athletic Legacy

Tensas Parish, LA – It is with great pride and profound respect that we announce the HoodComing Festival Weekend, a two-day celebration of community, legacy, and achievement to be held on October 30–31, 2025.

This year’s festival will feature a special tribute to the late Coach Ivan Webb, whose visionary leadership shaped generations of athletes and instilled lasting values of character, discipline, and skill. In recognition of his extraordinary impact, the Athletic Banquet will be named in his honor.

The event will also celebrate distinguished football athletes from St. Joseph, Newellton, and Waterproof, including both those who have passed on and those who continue to inspire us today. Community members are invited to nominate honorees for recognition.

“Coach Webb’s influence remains etched in our lives and memories. It is only fitting that we honor his legacy and give flowers to the athletes who have represented our parish with pride,” said Dr. DAW, festival coordinator.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Thursday, October 30, 2025 – HoodComing Block Party
Hosted at the residence of Toni Morris, a long-standing community figure known for her legendary cookouts celebrating Family, Faith, and Friends. The event will run from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and feature complimentary food, beverages, games, and entertainment. All community members—from Tensas to surrounding parishes—are invited to attend.

Friday, October 31, 2025 – Athletic Banquet in Honor of Coach Ivan Webb
A formal evening recognizing the legacy of Coach Webb and honoring athletes who have contributed to the rich football history of Tensas Parish.
